6 signs that indicate the level of sugar in the body is deteriorating
Diabetes statistical data points show the developing worldwide weight for people, families, and nations. The IDF Diabetes Map book (2021) reports that 10.5% of the grown-up populace (20-79 years) has diabetes, with close to half uninformed that they are living with the condition.
By 2045, IDF projections show that 1 of every 8 grown-ups, roughly 783 million, will be living with diabetes, an 2 of 46%.
At present, in India about 10 crore people in the country are diabetic and 13 crore people are pre- diabetic. This has been revealed in the research released in June 2023 by ICMR and Madras Diabetes Research Foundation. Research shows that half of the diabetics may become victims of diabetes in the next 5 years. Actually cells are dependent on sugar for energy, but sugar can reach them only when insulin hormone is working properly. If the lifestyle is bad then the efficiency of insulin reduces and the pancreas has to work more. When the pancreas also starts getting tired, then the sugar starts increasing. If sugar is more or less than the prescribed quantity, it affects the heart, kidneys, eyes, brain etc. In both the conditions many symptoms are seen in the body. It is very important to be aware of these symptoms.
The body gives such signals when the sugar is abnormal.
1. Brain fog, headache
Sugar also affects the functioning of the brain, causing loss of memory, difficulty in thinking clearly and affecting concentration. In both pre- diabetic and diabetic stages, the brain does not get enough energy even after 3 to 5 hours of a meal, which causes problems like confusion, headache, dizziness.
2. Blurred vision
When the body starts absorbing more water from the tissues, the level of fluid in the lens of the eyes starts changing. According to America's National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), it helps the eyes to focus. The problem is, it starts to look blurry.
3. Thirst and more urine
When the amount of sugar in the body is high. When to reduce the amount of sugar, the kidney tries to rid the body of the increased amount. She starts excreting sugar from the body through urine, for this the body has to extract more water from the tissues. In such a situation, one feels more thirsty. Urine comes frequently. Skin and mouth become more dry.
4. BP and poor sleep
Changes in blood vessels start occurring about 10 years before diabetes occurs. This is due to insulin resistance. Blood pressure and heart beat become irregular, this causes BP problems. The risk of heart diseases increases. Trembling and sweating starts in the body. Sleep starts getting affected.
5. Body gets tired quickly
Excessive amount of sugar means that it keeps circulating in the blood. Actually, due to lack of insulin it is not converted into energy. Therefore the cells do not get the necessary glucose and energy, which causes fatigue. Apart from this, due to excessive sugar, it also takes more time to heal wounds due to dehydration. Inflammation also increases fatigue.
6. Frequent infections
Excess amount of sugar prepares the environment for bacteria, fungus and other pathogens in the body. Due to this the person gets infected again and again. Infections like fungal infections and boils are especially common in the urinary tract and genitals.
